Getting from Hotel Ibis to Naamsestraat 69 (the location of the workshop)
Leave Hotel Ibis and turn left on the Brusselsestraat. Continue walking until you arrive at a square. Turn right just before the townhall (an old decorated building with statues). You are now walking on the Naamsestraat; keep on walking (say 500 meters) until you arrive at number 69 (it is on the left side). From there signs will be provided. The walk should take about 10 minutes.
Travel information (to Hotel Ibis, Leuven):
Option 1: you come by plane.
Arriving at the airport of Brussels (called Zaventem airport), there are at least two convenient ways of getting to Leuven:
i) by taxi. A trip to any destination in Leuven should cost around 60 Euro's.
ii) by train. See http://www.b-rail.be/E/index.html for connections and prices (use Zaventem airport as starting station). Next, go to Option 2.
Option 2: you come by train.
Arriving at Leuven central station, there are at least two convenient ways of getting to Hotel Ibis:
i) by taxi. A trip from the station in Leuven to Hotel Ibis should cost no more than 7 Euro's.
ii) by foot. It is a 20-minute walk from the station to Hotel Ibis. Leave the station via the main exit, and keep on following the "Bondgenotenlaan". This road takes you to the center of Leuven, leading to a square with on the left the townhall (an old building with towers) and on the right a large, old church (the St. Pieter). Arriving there, pass between these two buildings and continue walking. This will bring you in the Brusselsestraat. Option 3: you come by car. Drive safely!

Hotel information:
A block of rooms has been reserved for workshop guests at the
Hotel IBIS Leuven Centrum at a special rate of 86 Euro's per night for single
occupancy. Breakfast costs an additional 8.50 Euro per person per day.
Reservations should be made by October 15 to guarantee the rate.
Late reservations will be accepted based on space availability
and may be subject to the prevailing rate. To make a reservation,
contact the hotel and mention the APPOL II workshop.
The hotel has smoking and non-smoking rooms. Make sure to mention
your preference, otherwise it might not be available upon arrival.
The hotel is located in the center of Leuven and at walking distance
from the workshop location.
